We arrived in Kovalam and checked in. The accommodation is SO cheap. We can get budget hotels/guest houses for £6-£8 a night for both of us! Kovalam used to be a fishing village but is now a beach resort. There are 3 beaches here, the main one is lighthouse beach. We had a walk to see all three, had a curry over-looking the 3rd beach which was very nice and then walked back to lighthouse beach. We walked up the lighthouse which was a good view of the beach and then Kerry used her bartering skills to get us a couple of cheap sunbeds for the day (she’s pretty good at it). We chilled out on the beach for the rest of the day and went to a restaurant in the evening where Kerry ordered a creamy spinach curry…. which wasn’t what we were expecting (see photo).
