We arrived in Huacachina and thought we would make the most of the weather, so we drank beer & sunbathed! In the evening we walked to the top of the sand dunes and watched the sunset. The pictures look great, however, the trek up there wasn’t so fun haha. Later we went out for some food to a place that was reccomended by someone in Lima.. Jonho had a fish platter which had Peruvian style fish on it (ceviche)… it was raw fish with a marinade of what tasted like the tangiest lime juice ever. Kerry had peruvian beef which was amazing.
The next day we got up early, hired some sandboards and spent a few hours at the sand dunes, sand boarding… it was so much fun!! Our whole bodies were covered with sand and even after a shower we had sand in our ears/ up our nostrils!! We chilled out by the pool until our first 12 hour bus. Next stop Arequipa…
